The Crafty Bookstore’s most exciting work is featuring and promoting the many Indie Authors out there in the world. Part of our New Year, New Products launch includes shining the spotlight on various Indie Authors with release dates within the month, whether they are a Featured Indie Author in our store or not! Each month we will do the following to best promote these authors:
Each author is either submitted to us by the author themself, one of their fans, or we found them searching social media.
We have included their Instagram handle as a link so you can give them a follow.
The book title is a purchase link, we ensured, when possible, we provided direct purchase options but otherwise provided the purchase links they have or have provided our Bookshop.org link when they were able to be found on their site.
So without further ado… the February Indie Author releases, in order of release date!
V. Walker @oxvictoriaxo is about to sweep you away with a debut collection of poems entitled "The Fragile Humans We Are." This compilation of poems will have you in the depths of all the emotions we enjoy most and struggle with most, released February 1st this might be just what you need to put February in perspective.
Kathryn Breaux @kathrynbreauxwrites is releasing her debut novel “The Trials of Darkness” on February 3rd and is one of our Featured Indie Authors in the store! This beginning to a series takes you on a heart wrenching trip through a dark, magical and trial packed romantasy with a twist on Brave.
Luna Kayne @lunakayne has "Sanctum" releasing February 4th. Enter a world where the supernatural/paranormal are going to take you on an epic adventure to save more than one world, wrought with darkness, rivalries, and romance.
M.T.Solomon @m.t.solomonwrites is bringing the “Liar Queen” to a shelf near you February 4th. The Jeweled Realm Queen has a secret that comes to light and it changes everything. This fantasy, with a dash of romance, is descriptive and steady paced until the end!
M.K. Ahearn @authormkahearn releases her second novel in The Elemental Arrangement series entitled "Warring Tides" on February 4th. With all the tropes we love of enemies to lovers, forbidden romance, dragons, and a slow burn that just might make your chest hurt!
Brilynn O'Neal @forestsandfantasy is not letting us forget with the first in her series "The Forgotten Earth" coming out February 5th. This dystopian fantasy will take you to a crumbling world, where unlikely alliances and romances occur, an epic adventure is undertaken, and there is plenty of political intrigue and deception to keep you hooked.
Cynthia Brubaker @cb.novelist has a gritty betrayal and secret filled novel coming out February 5th, "Of Hearts and Hunters." Werewolves, vampyrs (true to the authors style), forbidden love, revenge, and dark twists will have you drooling like a werewolf yourself!
Katie Ubele @romantasybykatie is bringing a new spicy fae romantasy to your world with "Threads of Flame and Starlight" on February 5th. A story packed with lies, steam, forbidden love while he falls first, we think we covered enough for you to want to read more!
B.C. FaJohn @bcfajohnbooks will be introducing you to a new stabby leading lady and shadow daddy dynamic duo on February 11th in "Ruins of Starlight." Alliances must be formed, magic is discovered, family is missing, and hearts are taking unexpected turns in this romantasy.
Abigail Addison @authorabigailaddison is re-releasing her fantasy novel "Queen of Northern Ice" on February 11th. This novel is packed with a female lead bent on revenge, haunted by her past, and someone or something might after her still after all these years.
Bec Eden @bookishspiceandeverythingnice has her debut dark retelling of The Little Mermaid releasing on February 14th, "A Song of Death and Desire." What happens when a siren saves a human from the ocean, but sparks ignite and they both want what they can't have? Well we can't tell you, you just have to see for yourself!
Emily Colin @emilycolinbooks has a paranormal romance coming out on February 14th titled "Cursed in Love." How fitting of a date! With a future-seeing outcast and a broody grump, of course sparks are going to fly, but something greater is at work but everything points to this love is a curse not a blessing!
E.C. Hill @nellyhill.writes is prepared to take you on an action and suspense filled ride through "Dead by Dusk" on February 16th. With dual points of view, you will question who has betrayed who, who is the dangerous one, while sparks fly and caution is at an all time high, life threateningly so.
Adam Bassett @adamcbassett has the second book in his Digitial Extremities series coming out on February 17th, "Animas Paradox." This sci-fi action, dives deep into a futuristic and Italian world of crime, and a high stakes battle is brewing beneath the surface, but who will come out on top.
Christine Schulze @author_christinee.schulze is releasing her sequel in the Gailean Quartet entitled “Serenade of Kings” on February 25th and is one of our Featured Indie Authors in the store! This sequel takes you to before Prelude of Fire, to the beginnings of musical magic and of something dark overtaking the realm.
Carmelina Mercurio @bycarmelinamercurio will make you wish for a beach with "The Three Month Rule" coming out February 25th. When two grumpy people meet year after year at a beach resort, one an employee and the other a vacationer, some no strings attached sparks fly, but do they last or does it get complicated?
H.J. Nichols @hjnicholswrites will take you to a world with fae-animal hybrids on February 25th in "The Lost Deer Queen." This unique spin on fae fantasy will captivate you with deadly secrets, suspicious princes, and banter, and a mission to not only rule but find out the source of the encroaching darkness.
C.L. Arsenault @author.cl.arsenault is adding a new book to your arsenal... get it? This debut romantasy titled "A Hymn of Blood and Gold" comes out February 25th and with its' high stakes political intrigue, forbidden magic, and prophecies to decipher we think you might have a new fantasy-romance favorite.
Valerie Rivers @valerieriversauthor and Stephanie Combs @stephdevourerofbooks decided two heads to write a fantasy were better than one and on February 26th we see the fruits of their labor with "The Stars Could Save Us." This second novel, third if we count the novella, centers on prophecies coming to light, morally grey characters, fated mates and chosen ones all colliding for an epic fantasy romance!
