Marked By Destiny ( by Maggie Lynn:

Thrilling and Adventurous. Fated Mates. Witty Banter. Found Family.

Marked By Destiny is the first in the Birthmark series that follows Ira on her journey to discovering what having a true destiny really means. This first book is an epic fantasy with a delicious slow burn and heartwarming found family vibes.

Ira Killian has spent her entire life in a small village, where she has been constantly reminded that unlike everyone else in the land, she was not born with a birthmark to convey her destiny. What should have been an uneventful nineteenth name day for Ira goes awry when a stranger comes knocking at her door, planning to take her to the warrior training village, StoneGlass.

After losing her parents in a violent fire, Ira has no choice but to venture out with the stranger, Kaiden, who she deems responsible for the loss of her ordinary life.

While training to fight in the era-long war, Ira learns that her misplaced birthmarks have more meaning than she could have ever dreamed of. As more information unravels, Ira wonders about the secrets being kept from her and takes matters into her own hands.

The more Ira discovers about herself, her gifted fate, and her forgotten past, the more she wonders if finally having the destiny she so longingly dreamed of is a gift or a curse.
