Casual Now (Chicago Foxes #1) by Meghan French:

Amy Stone thought she had it all figured out - a successful career, a close group of friends, and a casual approach to love. But when she meets JJ, the charming shortstop for the Chicago Foxes, everything changes. Set against the backdrop of the windy city's professional baseball team, Casual Now follows the story of Amy and JJ as they navigate the tumultuous waters of love and family secrets. As JJ's past threatens to catch up with him, Amy is forced to confront her own fears of heartbreak. Will they be able to overcome their pasts and find love with each other?

Fans of spicy interconnected standalone romances will be hooked on this first installment of the Chicago Foxes series, featuring found family, dirty-talking baseball players, and strong women.
